According to ayurveda arthritis is mainly caused by an excess of toxins and the lack of agni. This can be caused by poor digestion and a weakening of the colon, leading to the accumulation of undigested food and accumulation waste. Poor digestion can accumulate toxins in the body and problems with the colon allowing toxins to reach the joints. Therefore in arthritis treatment we must stimulate the digestive fire (agni).

Treatment of arthritis based on lifestyle, diet and emotions. We should know whether Vata, pitta or kapha are in imbalance. While some dosha slows agni (digestive fire), it will be leading to accumulation of toxin. Vata known as the main active dosha brings toxins in the colon and from there it travels through the system and lodges in the bone and joints giving rise to the stiffness and pain of arthritis.

Ayurveda attempts to remove the toxins and return them to the colon and then to eliminate it. To do this we need to keep the colon clean. It is better to determine what kind of Arthritis one is suffering from to manage the remedies recommended for the specific type. If you do not know if arthritis is Vata, pitta or kapha, then you can take triphala 1 teaspoon at the night with 1 cup hot water.
Ayurveda recommends general techniques to enhance the digestive fire (agni), in order to burn toxins that are harmful to the body.

The use of medicinal plants and essential oils: Flexibility, strength can be achieved by Mahanarayan oil and it also removes the pain. Mahanarayan oil if mixed with sesame oil and applied to the painful areas helps a lot. The oil breaks deadlocks and also begins to heal locally. Narayan oil is good for the muscles and joint pain, blood circulation and reversing the imbalances caused by aging. Avipattikar churna is good for rheumatism.

Heart is one of the one of the most important and delicate vital organs of the human body. Heart’s main function is to supply blood and oxygen for the nutrition of cells throughout the body and remove waste cellular products.
The modern lifestyle has increased the stress on the body and mind, consequently they affect the body. Heart disease and stroke are the number one and number 3 killers in the United States and most of the Western world.

Malfuntioning in this vital organ can lead to many and various distinct heart diseases as heart murmurs,high blood pressure, valvular disease, atherosclerosis, heart failure, myocarditis, rheumatic heart disease, angina, heart attack, mitral valve prolapse and cardiomyopathy. Changing lifestyles and eating habits are highly recommended and are essential in the treatment of cardiac disorders. Doing more exercises or yoga can also be of great help.
