Ayurveda is the oldest and holistic medicine in the world. Ayurveda teachings and practices have been documented for more than 8,000 years in India despite a history that stretches longer than what had been documented. Ayurveda teaches very systematic and scientific way of life which is physically and spiritually important to everyone. Ayurveda can work miracles. Ayurvedic health care is the ideal solution for women to stop the aging process. Ayurveda literally means science of life. Ayurveda is regarded as the traditional system of medicine in India. Ayurveda is a science in the sense that it is a complete system.
Ayurveda has been referred to a holistic medicine that treats both the body and mind. In fact, ayurveda is more like a way of life and covers all aspects of health including nutrition and surgery. Over the years, the Ayurvedic healing came with three classifications that are supposed to govern all bodily processes. The three major doshas are Vata (air), Pitta (fire) and Kapha (water).
The treatment consists mainly of powders, tablets etc. medicated oils prepared from natural herbs, plants and minerals. Because of the drugs are from natural sources, not synthetic, they are recognized and assimilated into the body without causing side effects. Ayurvedic treatment is useful to remove the root causes and provide permanent relief. There are four broad categories of management of the disease in ayurveda. Shaman or palliative care; Tonic or rejuvenation; shodan or cleaning and satvajaya or mental hygiene.
Ayurvedic practitioners often strive to find health issues at an early stage and try to deal with them before they get more serious. Ayurveda seeks to adopt a practical bearing when it comes to illness both physical and mental. Philosophy behind holistic medicine can be very complex; it can take several years to the practitioners to understand this form of holistic healing. Female is complex and delicate. They will play its part in multiple lives as a mother, daughter, wife; housekeeper those are physically and mentally very taxing. Because of their specific role of reproduction, they are at risk of certain female disorders.
In Ayurveda the natural remedies are often used as treatments. For example the preparations made from plants can be prescribed. Ayurvedic Doctor will advise a food change. There is also a great emphasis on relaxation. Ayurveda may involve certain massage techniques for deep relaxation. Pancha Karma therapy is also used as a treatment of many diseases. This panchkarma or five cleaning methods therapy is a more profound treatment in Ayurveda. The growing interest of Western doctors can only mean good news for all of us. With greater awareness of Ayurvedic herbs, people in search of treatment know that there is plenty of alternative medicine available today.
