Caraka Samhita and Susruta Samhita are thought to be the first texts on Ayurveda. Ayurveda is based on the ideas of Hinduism, one of the world’s oldest and largest religions. Many therapies used in Ayurveda are like herbs, massage and yoga. It is based on the theories of health and illness and how to prevent and manage and treat health problems.

Prevention and control of cholesterol: According to Ayurveda people with kapha diet tend to have high cholesterol. To lower cholesterol and prevent the cholesterol Ayurveda recommends.Ayurveda is an ancient system of healing encompasses a wide range of technologies to treat the disease and to promote the general welfare. It includes herbs, nutrition, breathing exercises and yoga, massage and acupuncture.

Low Cholesterol Food: Do not include onion and garlic in your food. Take foods that are natural cholesterol busters like oats, apples, corn, almonds and grapefruit. Herbs are effective against cholesterol. Watch what you eat, eat kapha - pacifying diet and avoiding high fat foods like fatty foods.Three Herbs: Control your cholesterol with these (kutki, chitrak, shilajit) effective medicinal plants; take it two times a day with some honey and water. Garlic: Mix ginger, garlic and fresh lime. Eat this mixture before each meal. You can also use trikatu with honey and drink 2 to 3 times per data. It is to burn ama and the extra kapha which helps keep cholesterol under control.Cinnamon and trikatu tea: Drink this tea twice a day to lower cholesterol. Mix trikatu with cinnamon and steep for 10 minutes in a glass of water. Add honey to taste.

The following food is good for high blood pressure and heart care: Cucumber curry leaves, handful of fresh coriander leaves, tablespoons butter, pepper, cumin seeds, black mustard seeds, plain yogurt cool. Heat butter over medium heat in a saucepan. Add the cumin, mustard and curry leaves and cook until the seeds crackle. Add in the cilantro, skinned cucumbers and pepper. Shake the pan and remove from heat. Set aside to cool. Next stir yogurt and cucumber in a bowl and add the spices cooled. Mix well and serve a meal.

Ayurveda has been given recognition of divine origin. It is estimated that the Ayurveda has no origin or end. It is both alpha and omega. Veda is the science or science. Science has no beginning and no end. Ayurveda is the science of life with the relation of universe, in the protection of creation and destruction. There is no new creation to be created. Science is transmitted to humans through some people at the appropriate time - according to the Vedic tradition in the India.

The first source of science of life is the Lord Brahma, who is also the creator of the entire universe. The doctors, who treat the sick, orally transmitted the science to their disciples. There were no written texts for Ayurvedic science till Veda Vyasa compiled the science in writing form. Ayurveda or science of life is divided into four Vedas - Rig Veda, Sama Veda, Yajur Veda and Adarvana Veda. It was only between 1400 and 1000 BC Ayurveda was a written document. Charaka Samhitha was written by Acharya Charaka. Sushrutha was written by Acharya Sushruta.

Ayurveda training is founded on the principles of prevention of disease, treatment of disorders and situates the body in balance. Ayurveda schools educate students about science which are composed of many alternative health sciences, but focuses on the techniques and practices on Ayurvedic. Curriculums include color therapy treatment, Sanskrit, Chikitsa treatments, yoga, Hinduism, Ayurvedic perspective of human anatomy, Mantra, aromatherapy, gemstones therapy and the use of herbal medicines and herbal therapy.

They teach students to balance dosha, one of the three biological energies (Vata, pitta, Vatic), which combine in different proportions to determine individual constitution and mental and physical disorders. Students also learn methods to improve the digestive functions strengthen the body’s immune system and develop spiritual growth. They learn balanced therapeutic diet, weight loss, exercise and meditation and massage therapy.

Ayurveda provides certain lifestyle for healthy living. We must wake up in the morning with the sun. Take bath before sunrise and perform the meditation or suryanamaskar - the ideal starting point it deserves. Students must wake up before sunrise.
